      The physicians at House Call Docs, CS recognize the growing need for quality medical care for the elderly.  The existing needs of today's elderly patient, and their increasing longevity, call into question the adequacy of our current medical care system.

      When appointment scheduling can take weeks-to-months, otherwise independent elderly patients are forced into frequent urgent care and emergency room visits.  Too often these visits are accompanied by difficult transportation arrangements, long waiting times, and impersonal treatment.  An ER physician that is not well acquainted with the visiting geriatric patient is often forced to "play-it-safe," resulting in frequent and typically unnecessary hospital admissions.

      We at House Call Docs, CS have resolved to take a cue directly from the life experiences of so many of our elderly patients — the local doctor that makes house calls!  As the saying goes, "everything old is new again!"  Our promise to our patients is to keep the patient roster of each House Call Docs, CS physician small enough to provide responsive, compassionate, and personalized care so that the vast majority of visits can be scheduled within a 24-to-48 hour time frame.  Getting to know our patients, and their individual needs, is our number-one priority.
