YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR A HOUSE CALL VISIT BY OUR PHYSICIANS IF:
-
You use a device to walk, such as a cane, a walker, a scooter, or wheelchair, or
-
You do not drive and require the assistance of someone else in order to get to your doctor’s office, or
-
You are visually impaired, or
-
You have a memory disorder that makes it dangerous for you to go out alone, or
-
You are bedridden, or
-
You have had recent surgery and must limit activity, or
-
Leaving home requires a considerable or taxing effort.
Please note that Medicare does not consider you to be
homebound simply because of advanced age.
The house call doctor can
become (with your permission) your primary care giver and provide
all of your routine medical care and health maintenance through
scheduled visits, as indicated by your personal medical
needs.
